Two QTLs govern the resistance to Sclerotinia minor in an interspecific peanut RIL population

چکیده
Abstract Sclerotinia blight is a soilborne disease caused by minor Jagger and can produce severe decrease in yield. Cultural management strategies chemical treatment are not completely effective; therefore, growing peanut‐resistant varieties likely to be the most effective control method for this disease. resistance has been identified wild Arachis species further transferred peanut elite cultivars. To identify genome regions conferring within tetraploid genetic background, study evaluated population of recombinant inbred lines (RIL) with introgressed genes from three diploid species: A. cardenasii , correntina batizocoi . Two consistent quantitative trait loci (QTLs), qSbIA04 qSbIB04 located on chromosomes A04 B04, respectively, were identified. The QTL was mapped at 56.39 cM explaining 29% phenotypic variance 13.38 22% overall variance.

Mapping QTLs for Fusarium Head Blight Resistance in an Interspecific Wheat Population
Fusarium head blight (scab) is one of the most widespread and damaging diseases of wheat, causing grain yield and quality losses and production of harmful mycotoxins. Development of resistant varieties is hampered by lack of effective resistance sources in the tetraploid wheat primary gene pool. Here we dissected the genetic basis of resistance in a new durum wheat (Triticum turgidum ssp. durum...
متن کاملDetection of QTLs for Yield Heterosis in Rice Using a RIL Population and Its Testcross Population
Analysis of the genetic basis of yield heterosis in rice was conducted by quantitative trait locus mapping using a set of 204 recombinant inbred lines (RILs), its testcross population, and mid-parent heterosis dataset (HMP). A total of 39 QTLs for six yield traits were detected, of which three were detected in all the datasets, ten were common to the RIL and testcross populations, six were comm...
متن کاملIdentification of Qtls for Brown Planthopper (nilaparvata Lugens Stal.) Resistance in Ril Mapping Population of Rice (oryza Sativa L.)
The brown planthopper (Nilaparvata lugens Stal.) is one of the major insect pests of rice (Oryza sativa L.). Exploitation of Host Plant Resistance is a major component to manage this pest. The development of rice varieties that are resistant to the brown planthopper is an important objective in current breeding programmes. This study was undertaken to identify QTLs for BPH resistance from an el...
متن کاملIdentification of QTLs for Arsenic Accumulation in Maize (Zea mays L.) Using a RIL Population
The Arsenic (As) concentration in different tissues of maize was analyzed using a set of RIL populations derived from an elite hybrid, Nongda108. The results showed that the trend of As concentration in the four measured tissues was leaves>stems>bracts>kernels. Eleven QTLs for As concentration were detected in the four tissues. Three QTLs for As concentration in leaves were mapped on chromosome...
متن کاملComparative analysis of QTLs affecting plant height and maturity across the Poaceae, in reference to an interspecific sorghum population.
Correspondence among QTLs affecting height and/or flowering was investigated across the five races of sorghum, an interspecific sorghum F2 population, and 32 previously published sorghum, maize, rice, wheat, and barley populations revealing 185 QTLs or discrete mutants. Among nine QTLs mapped in the interspecific sorghum population (six affecting height and three affecting flowering), at least ...
